Mr. Qing Di is based in JunHe’s Shanghai office and focuses on dispute resolution including civil and commercial litigation and arbitration, competition law and compliance.
Mr. Di has a wealth of experience representing clients in complex cases at various arbitration institutions such as CIETAC and SHIAC. He has also represented clients before many PRC courts at all levels (including the Supreme People’s Court and the High People’s Courts in different provinces and municipalities), handling commercial disputes in investment and financing transactions, corporate control, international sales of goods, product distribution and security fraud. These have been in areas such as pharmaceuticals and medical treatment, semi-conductor/high-end manufacturing, commercial real estate and aviation.
Mr. Di has accumulated extensive experience in dispute resolution involving foreign elements. He has represented clients in applying for recognition and enforcement of foreign arbitral awards and foreign court judgments in China, and assisted quite a few state-owned/private enterprises to make claims for their rights and interests abroad. Working as the general project director, he has assisted clients in dispute resolution procedures in different jurisdictions. An international litigation case handled by Mr. Di as the leading attorney was selected as a typical case in the fourth session of "The Belt and Road" legal service in the "Legal Daily". Mr. Di advises a host of multinational companies in their daily operations in China, including providing legal advice regarding advertising, food safety, anti-unfair competition and legal compliance.
From 2018 to 2019, Mr. Di worked as a visiting attorney in the litigation department of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP (New York office). He is also an external mentor for Master of Laws students of East China University of Political Science and Law and teaches legal practice for Master of Laws students at Fudan University.
Mr. Di was ranked as one of the Recommended Lawyers in the Dispute Resolution sector in the Legal 500 Asia Pacific and was honored by Who's Who Legal as a leading PRC business lawyer (arbitration) in 2020. In 2022, China Business Law Journal named him one of the 80 Rising Stars in Chinese legal practice.
