Professional Experience

With more than 29 years of legal practice with JunHe, Mr. Wang has developed a well-deserved reputation for providing comprehensive, sensible, and forward looking legal services to clients in an effective and responsive manner. Mr. Wang was independently nominated by his clients as one of the most outstanding lawyers they had worked with as part of a global research of Thomson Reuters with senior in-house counsels, and is thus included in the Thomson Reuters Stand-out Lawyers database. 


Mr. Wang has successfully conducted litigation, arbitration and administrative proceedings in a broad variety of disputes.  His areas of expertise in litigation and arbitration includes providing constructive and practical dispute avoidance approaches, designing litigation and arbitration strategies, and representing clients at all stages of litigation and arbitration.  He represented Johnson & Johnson in the first vertical monopoly agreement case ever litigated in China, organizing and presenting detailed expert testimony in advocating on behalf of the client.  Mr. Wang is also experienced in complex litigation involving multiple parties and was one of the lead counsels in the well-known Danone v. Wahaha joint venture and trademark dispute. In this dispute, the parties filed dozens of claims against each other in various jurisdictions in and outside of China.  Mr. Wang’s ability to strategize multiple litigation and arbitration proceedings was well tested and ultimately contributed to a satisfactory settlement by the parties.  Mr. Wang is an arbitrator for the Shanghai International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (also known as the Shanghai International Arbitration Center)and Shanghai Arbitration Commission.  He was named China Dispute Star by Benchmark Litigation, 2020 China Top 15 Litigators by Asia Legal Business, a Leading Lawyer in Dispute Resolution by Chambers Asia-Pacific, a Leading Lawyer in Dispute Resolution and Litigation in Asia by Asialaw, and a recommended lawyer in Dispute Resolution by Legal 500 Asia Pacific. In additional, Mr. Wang was honored in the first Arbitration Powerlist China 2023 released by the Legal 500.


Mr. Wang has extensive experience in defending clients in a multitude of regulatory investigations and administrative proceedings for allegations of monopolistic practices, corruption, violations of environmental laws, and unfair competition, and in advising clients on regulatory and antirust matters.  His clients include multinational corporations from the U.S., U.K., E.U. and Japan in industries such as pharmaceuticals, medical devices, electronics, nutrition, food and beverage packaging, automobile, distribution, and wholesale and retail. Mr. Wang was named a leading lawyer in Competition Law by Who’s Who Legal: China, and a recommended lawyer in Antitrust and Competition Law by Legal 500 Asia Pacific.
