Mr. Wang has successfully conducted litigation, arbitration and administrative proceedings in a broad variety of disputes. His areas of expertise in litigation and arbitration include providing constructive and practical dispute avoidance approaches, designing litigation and arbitration strategies, and representing clients at all stages of litigation and arbitration. He represented Johnson & Johnson in the first vertical monopoly agreement case ever litigated in China, organizing and presenting detailed expert testimony in advocating on behalf of the client. Mr. Wang is also experienced in complex litigation involving multiple parties and was one of the lead counsels in the well-known Danone v. Wahaha joint venture and trademark dispute. In this dispute, the parties filed dozens of claims against each other in various jurisdictions in and outside of China. Mr. Wang’s ability to strategize multiple litigation and arbitration proceedings was well tested and ultimately contributed to a satisfactory settlement by the parties. Mr. Wang is an arbitrator for the Shanghai International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (also known as the Shanghai International Arbitration Center)and Shanghai Arbitration Commission. He was listed as a China Dispute Star by Benchmark Litigation, a Leading Lawyer for Dispute Resolution by Chambers Global/Asia-Pacific/China Region and an Asia Dispute Resolution Lawyer by Asia Legal Business (2025).
