On February 25, 2026, Dashi Pharmaceuticals (Guangdong) Co., Ltd. (Dashi Pharmaceuticals) and the emerging American biopharmaceutical company Slate Medicines, Inc. (Slate Medicines) announced an exclusive licensing collaboration. This agreement grants Slate Medicines the exclusive rights for the global (excluding the Greater China region) clinical development and commercialization of Dashi Pharmaceuticals' independently developed monoclonal antibody DS009. DS009 is potentially best-in-class and targets pituitary adenylate cyclase-activating polypeptide (PACAP), which Slate Medicines has named SLTE-1009. DS009 is the first original non-opioid biological analgesic from China to be licensed abroad.
Slate Medicines simultaneously completed a USD 130 million Series A financing round, led by top-tier U.S. healthcare investment firms including RA Capital Management, Forbion, and Foresite Capital. The funds will primarily be used to advance the global clinical development of DS009.
Under the terms of the agreement, Dashi Pharmaceuticals will receive upfront payments, milestone payments at various stages, and tiered royalties based on global sales, while retaining the rights for the development and commercialization of DS009 in the Greater China region.
