On October 21st, the inaugural Multilaw Awards ceremony was held in Munich, Germany. JunHe was named the Green Law Firm of the Year for its outstanding performance in environmental protection, carbon neutrality and sustainable development.

Multilaw is a global network of law firms, which aims to strengthen cross-border ties and cooperation. The awards recognize the excellent performance of law firms in environmental protection as well as their sustainability initiatives, policies and practices in the past 12 months.

JunHe is the first zero-carbon law firm in China to be certified by an authoritative certification body after the Dual Carbon Goals were announced. We are pioneers in environmental protection, and strong advocates of ESG concepts and values. In recent years, we have set up an ESG practice group, completed internal ESG due diligence, integrated ESG concepts into our business management, and combined domestic and foreign ESG ideas. We have explored the demand for ESG legal services, created a special green fund for carbon neutrality, promoted carbon neutrality initiatives, and encouraged the public to participate in carbon sequestration and emission reduction activities. We established a Public Welfare Forest, took part in the global event Earth Hour, and adopted other measures to make our offices greener. JunHe has led the way in sustainable development and green ideals, and we look forward to sharing our valuable experience.

JunHe was included in The Legal 500’s inaugural Asia Pacific Green Guide, honored with the CSR, Diversity, Transformation and Economic Empowerment Award at the China Law & Practice Awards 2022 and the Best ESG Practice Award at CLECSS Best ESG Firm Awards. JunHe was also recognized as the ESG Legal Service Provider of the Year by the British Chamber of Commerce Shanghai.
