Ms. Zhao Rongjing has over 18 years’ experience in advising listed companies, private equity firms, institutional investors, and major corporations on complex cross-border transactions. This includes control deals and leveraged buyouts, mergers and acquisitions, mezzanine finance, spin-offs, and distressed M&A transactions. She represents strategic clients and private equity funds in their investments and acquisitions both within and outside of Asia. Ms. Zhao also has extensive experience advising clients on the take-privates of U.S.-listed companies and other U.S. public and private company M&A transactions.
Ms. Zhao possesses sector-specific experience in the technology and life sciences industries. She has led major transactions involving AI, robotics, and the life sciences, navigating the unique regulatory hurdles, IP considerations, and valuation complexities inherent in these high-growth sectors. Her ability to translate technical innovation into robust legal structures makes her the preferred counsel for founders and institutional investors alike.
In 2024, Ms. Zhao was named a Lawyer of the Year by The Legal 500 China Awards and a Top 15 Female Lawyer by Asian Legal Business China.
