Her work typically forms part of broader cross-border matters, where she leads or advises on China-related issues, including anti-corruption, sanctions, export control and data security areas. She is also regularly engaged in sensitive internal investigations, especially matters involving senior management.
Carol also focuses on data security and cross-border data compliance in China. She regularly advises on privacy protection, data security, technology and data export control issues within cross-border structures, especially in technology-driven industries such as artificial intelligence, biotechnology, smart connected products, and autonomous driving. She provides legal advice and pragmatic solution on full-spectrum compliance with China’s data regulatory regime and its implications for global structural design and integration.
