Wang Kai joined JunHe in 2016 and specializes in foreign direct investment projects and cross-border M&A transactions. This includes the design of transaction structures, drafting transactional documents and negotiations and providing legal advice in relation to industrial policies. Mr. Wang’s practice focuses on the automotive, duty-free, elder-caring, petrochemical and public transport industries.
Mr. Wang started his professional career with an internship at the Fourth Civil Forum of the Supreme People’s Court of the PRC. Before joining JunHe, he worked at Gide Loyrette Nouel’s Beijing office for six years.
In 2020 and 2021, The Legal 500 Asia Pacific recognized him as a Rising Star and a Recommended Lawyer (2021) in the areas of corporate and M&A. In 2023, China Business Law Journal recognized him as a Rising Star. In 2024, Mr. Wang was accredited by Global Law Experts as a leading Joint Ventures lawyer in the PRC jurisdiction.
Since 2021, Mr. Wang has been selected by the Beijing Lawyers Association into the Foreign-Related Attorney Talent Pool. In 2023, Mr. Wang was selected for the first batch of lawyers in Beijing's 100 High-End Foreign-Related Legal Talents Training Programme and successfully completed the programe.
Mr. Wang graduated from the law school of the University of International Business and Economics in 2010. He holds a Bachelor of Laws in International Economic Law.
Admitted to the Chinese Judicial Professional Qualification in 2011, and has obtained the license to practice as a professional lawyer.
