Ms. Liu is a partner at JunHe LLP’s Beijing office and specializes in data privacy and cybersecurity, telecommunication and the Internet, mergers and acquisitions, e-commerce and general corporate matters.
Ms. Liu has extensive experience advising on all areas of cybersecurity, privacy and data protection issues for leading domestic and international clients across diverse industries, including internet, e-commerce, consumer and retail, healthcare, banking and insurance, automotive, energy, and industrial manufacturing. Her expertise includes, but not limited to, comprehensive cybersecurity and data compliance assessments, the development of data compliance frameworks, assessment and filing of cross-border data transfers, cybersecurity incidents response, data products registration and transaction compliance, as well as artificial intelligence and algorithm compliance. Additionally, Ms. Liu provides data protection advice in the context of M&A transactions and acts as a PRC legal adviser in respect of PRC data compliance law in overseas IPOs.
In addition to her work in data privacy and cybersecurity, Ms. Liu also has represented multinationals, foreign investment enterprises, and large Chinese state-owned and private companies in their corporate transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, venture capital/ private equity investments, foreign direct investments and cross-border transactions in industries of healthcare, e-commerce, hi-tech, media, real estate and energy, etc.
Ms. Liu was recognized by The Legal 500 as a “Recommended Lawyer” for data protection in Greater China in 2025.
