The Asialaw Asia-Pacific Dispute Resolution Summit 2015 (“Summit”) was held on September 24, 2015, in Hong Kong. JunHe sponsored the Summit and four lawyers from JunHe participated in the Summit, among whom, Mr. LI, Qing and Ms. ZHENG, Yanli (Leanne) delivered speeches entitled “Strategies for Success: Managing Cross Border Disputes” and “Dispute Resolution in China: to Litigate or Arbitrate?”, respectively.

Over 250 delegates attended the Summit, which brought together the region’s top legal practitioners and business leaders in a high-level business symposium. The Summit featured discussions and expert advice on key legal and business issues impacting foreign and domestic companies doing business in Asia.

LI, Qing currently practices in our Beijing Office and has been practicing law for 20 years. He has extensive experience handling diverse litigation, arbitration and dispute resolution matters in China. He has successfully handled disputes concerning international trade, joint ventures, product liability, IP, loans and guarantees, employment and construction. Mr. Li is knowledgeable on all aspects of international trade and customs law. He has successfully helped a number of companies respond to investigations launched by Chinese Customs. Mr. Li has also lectured on Chinese Customs valuation rules at several international conferences. Mr. Li is a member of the All-China Bar Association.
Ms. ZHENG, Yanli (Leanne) has been practicing law for 18 years and currently practices at our Beijing office. Prior to joining JunHe, she served on the Beijing First Intermediate Court for nine years and, subsequently, represented both Chinese and international clients in complex disputes inside and outside of China for nine years. Ms. Zheng specializes in civil and commercial litigation (domestic and international) and has extensive experience in international trade, contracts, IP, foreign investment, corporate governance, contracts, construction and real estate, banking, intellectual property, and white-collar criminal defense. Ms. Zheng has also helped many clients resolve disputes through alternative dispute resolution. Most of the disputes handled by Ms. Zheng are worth over RMB 100 million. Ms. Zheng is an arbitrator at CIETAC, a part-time professor and graduate student instructor at the Law School and Lawyer School of Renmin University, and a Steering Group Member of the ABA China Committee, Section of International Law.
Ms HU, Nan specializes in landmark litigation concerning investment, international trade, IP and business franchises. She has represented industry leaders in matters heard by CIETAC, the Beijing Arbitration Committee and courts of different levels throughout China. Ms Hu also specializes in corporate matters. She advises a broad range of multinational corporations, foreign-invested enterprises and state-owned enterprises in contract negotiation and drafting and with common legal issues during daily operations. In addition, Ms Hu advises on corporate compliance, including representation concerning commercial bribery as well as industrial and commercial administrative punishment. Ms Hu represents leaders in the culture, entertainment and media industries. In the foreign investment sector, Ms Hu assists overseas clients in establishing joint venture enterprises, individual proprietorships, Sino-foreign joint ventures and foreign-owned enterprises. Ms Hu manages due diligence investigations and investment negotiations as well as drafts and reviews investment agreements, joint venture contracts, articles of association, equity transfer agreements and other relevant legal documents. Ms Hu is a member of the All China Lawyers Association.
Mr YE, Zhenyong) currently practices in our Shanghai Office. He specializes in litigation, arbitration and other dispute resolution services, with a special emphasis on foreign-related civil and commercial affairs, international trade as well as maritime and marine disputes, and legal issues pertaining to corporate governance, real estate and product quality. After joining JunHe in 2007, Mr. Ye handled a number of influential domestic and foreign cases, including, but not limited to, the APP Anti-dumping and Anti-subsidy Case, the Danone v. Wahaha JV and Trademark Dispute, and the Sanlu Credit and Debt Settlement Case. Mr. Ye is skilled in designing dispute resolution plans that protect the client’s interest to the maximum extent and is highly recommended by clients. Mr. Ye is a member of the All-China Bar Association, the Shanghai Lawyers Association and the China Maritime Law Association.
