The take-private of Chindata Group Holdings Limited (Chindata Group) by Bain Capital was named Private Equity Deal of the Year.

Bain Capital, as the buyer’s investor for Chindata’s privatization, provided funding in the forms of equity financing and debt financing. In terms of debt financing, a syndicate led by Shanghai Pudong Development Bank and Industrial Bank was introduced to provide M&A financing for the privatization. Chindata’s privatization is another large-scale listed company privatization that JunHe has undertaken in recent years, following the privatization of WUBA, China Biologic, SINA and JOBS.
