On September 10, 2021, the 2021 ALB Hong Kong Law Awards ceremony was held virtually. JunHe won two awards:
Finance Deal of the Year: 58.com’ Privatization
PRC Law Firm, Hong Kong Office of the Year.
This is the seventh time that JunHe has won the ALB Best PRC Law Firm Hong Kong Office of the Year Award, following 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2018.
2021 marks the 15th anniversary of the founding of JunHe Hong Kong office and once again the office has won an award. The award recognizes JunHe Hong Kong’s professionalism. The team has extensive experience in capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, banking and finance and other legal services, and a well-structured and strong team. JunHe HK is a leading provider of one-stop, cross-border legal services for domestic and overseas clients.
In 2021, JunHe actively responded to the state’s strategy for promoting the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Hainan Free Trade Zone and established the JunHe South China Working Group. It was established to provide high-end legal services to clients in the Guangdong- Hong Kong- Macao Greater Bay Area and the Hainan Free Trade Zone. JunHe Hong Kong Office plays an irreplaceable role in the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and provides comprehensive cross-border services at home and abroad.
The JunHe Finance Group acted as the PRC counsel for the financing syndicate in 58.com’s privatization and provided quality services for the financing for this project. The privatization of 58.com was the largest privatization of a China Concept Stock since the privatization of Qihoo 360 and was awarded the "Best Deal of the Year" by Business Law, IFLR1000 and The Asian Lawyer. The JunHe Finance Group was recognized by its clients for the design of the financing structure, the negotiation of the financing, the coordination of the project agencies and the communication with the domestic and overseas lawyers. The lead partners of this project were Mr. ZHOU, Hui (Nelson), Mr. YUAN, Yifeng (Vincent) and Mr. YANG, Jianwei.
