The winners of the Greater China Business Awards 2024-25 were recently announced and JunHe partners HUANG, Wei and LEI, Tianxiao were named Distinguished DCM Legal Advisors. The award celebrates outstanding practitioners who have contributed to the innovative development of the industry and consistently provide high-quality legal services.
A pioneer in bond-related legal services, Mr. Huang focuses on capital markets and M&A financing and excels in domestic and overseas listings, bond and stock issuance, and structured finance. Ms. Lei specializes in domestic and overseas bond projects and has extensive experience in foreign bonds, Panda bonds, overseas listings, M&A transactions, and private equity investments.
Mr. Huang has a profound understanding of corporate bond and debt financing projects and has completed multiple major projects. This includes the issuance by ZTE Corporation (000063.SZ/00763.HK) of over RMB 100 billion ultra-short term financing bonds, medium-term notes, and sci-tech innovation bonds, as well ZTCHoldings issuance of ultra-short term financing bonds, medium-term notes, and sci-tech innovation corporate bonds. These were among the first non-financial sci-tech innovation bonds issued in China and the first ever non-financial sci-tech innovation bonds issued in Shenzhen. Ms. Lei has completed several milestone Panda bond and offshore bond projects, including the issuance of Panda bonds by Air Liquide Group (the first Panda bond issued under guarantee) and the issuance of Panda bonds by Xiaomi Corporation (the first Panda bond issued by a mini red-chip company with a VIE structure).
Both partners have received recognition from legal media journals in recent years. Mr. Huang was recognized as a 2023 Young Lawyer of the Year: South China & Central China by Asian Legal Business, LexisNexis® 40 UNDER 40 2024 Asia List, and LEGALBAND’s Elite List 2024: Top 20 Commercial Lawyers. Ms. Lei was recognized by IFLR 1000 as a Female Leader and a Rising Star Partner in Capital Markets (Debt) in 2022-23, and a Rising Star by China Business Law Journal in 2023.
