Junlin Pan joined JunHe LLP in 2022 and is based in the Beijing office. Prior to his legal career, he served as a senior legal counsel for a multinational electronics company, managing and handling IP litigations in China.
Junlin focuses on patent litigation in the communication, semiconductor, software, and consumer electronics industries. He also handles complex issues of standard essential patents (SEPs) and Fair, Reasonable and Non-Discriminatory (FRAND) commitments.
Junlin has comprehensive experience in patent litigation and a track record of handling cases in top IP courts in China, as well as patent invalidation cases. He is known for consistently playing crucial roles in high-profile cases, including the landmark Samsung vs. Huawei cross-border litigation which is the first SEP/FRAND dispute involving 3GPP standards in China.
In addition, Junlin has extensive knowledge of domestic and international transactional patent work, including SEP-related licensing, patent advisory and analysis, and pre-litigation investigations.
Since the beginning of his practice, Junlin has worked with numerous multinational clients in a wide range of technological fields. In 2022, Junlin was awarded as the Rising Star of Commercial Law.
