JunHe is delighted to announce that Mr. CHEN, Xin (Michael) has joined the firm as a partner based in the firm’s Shanghai office since October 12, 2015.
Before he joined the firm, Mr. Chen practiced at Wang Jing & Co. in shipping law related to bill of lading, charter party, collision, oil pollution and etc.. In January 2008, Mr. Chen became a partner in Wang Jing & Co. Shanghai in charge of commercial division.
Mr. Chen’s dedication for many years is taken to dispute settlement for foreign-related commerce, including many major cases with influence at home and abroad. In recent years, many a case under his leadership in finance or insurance areas, such as a letter of credit, demand guarantee, fraud in a trade financing, director and officer liability insurance, and reinsurance, is at the leading edge of Chinese judicial practice in the same areas.
Mr. Chen’s current practice focuses on insurance, trade, finance, shipping, corporate and foreign-related commerce matters, both contentious and non-contentious. In addition, Mr. Chen has acted, as an agent ad litem for many clients, to handle many cases for liability defense or dispute settlement in regard to product liabilities, public liabilities, medicine liabilities, food safety, security frauds, commercial bribes and equity disputes. Most of such cases are major events with significant influence all over China. Mr. Chen works in these cases enriched his experience in large quantities and was rewarded with clients’ sincere and common recognition for his professional ability and ethics.
