JunHe Assisted Swiss Re to invest in China Pacific Insurance GDRs

On June 22, 2020, China Pacific Insurance (Group) Co., Ltd. ("CIPC", with the A share code of 601601 and the H share code of 02601) launched Global Depositary Receipts ("GDRs") on the London-Shanghai Stock Connect program of the London Stock Exchange, making CIPC the first Chinese insurance company listed in Shanghai, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and London.


JunHe, as the PRC legal counsel for Swiss Re Principal Investments Company Asia Pte. Ltd. (“Swiss Re”), assisted it in subscribing for this GDR offering by CIPC as a keystone investor. This project is the first GDR offering project to have keystone investors.


Swiss Re is a member of the world's leading reinsurance group.
