Mr. Tao Sun is a partner at JunHe, joining the firm in 2003 and he practices in the Beijing office.
Prior to joining JunHe, Mr. Sun worked at the Trademark Review and Adjudication Board (TRAB) of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce as a trademark appeal examiner. During his four and half years with the TRAB he examined hundreds of trademark appeal cases.
After joining JunHe in 2003, Mr. Sun has focused on intellectual property, competition, and dispute resolution law. He has successfully represented many multinational and domestic companies in trademark, copyright, domain name, unfair competition and other IP issues, and his services cover both contentious and non-contentious matters. He also represents many clients in their daily legal needs. Mr. Sun advises on a broad range of other matters, including advising clients on foreign investment and merger and acquisition issues, especially when IP plays an important role in the transaction.
Mr. Sun’s cases have been recognized as one of the ‘most influential foreign related IP cases of Beijing’ and in 2014 was named as a ‘typical trademark infringement case of SAIC, Guiding Case of the Supreme Court’. Due to his exceptional grasp of the law and his professionalism, Mr. Sun was selected in 2015 as one of the ‘Client choice top 20 lawyers in China.’
