On September 22, 2021, the 2021 ALB China M&A rankings were released. With an unbeaten industry reputation, JunHe’s M & A team has now been placed in the first tier of the ALB ranking system for ten consecutive years.
The 2021 ALB China M&A ranking considers many factors. These include workload, the complexity and scale of the engagements undertaken by the law firm, its presence in Asia and other jurisdictions, its engagement and team growth, its new and existing clients, the public awareness of the firm and its overall performance.
Many high-profile projects undertaken by JunHe’s M& A team have been selected as the best deals of the year by leading media organizations in China and overseas. These include the merger between Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FAC) and Peugeot (PSA), Three Gorges Capital and other joint investors participation in the US $3.6 billion acquisition of a large electric power company, the Investment of Kilifu in Shanghai Raishi by means of a cross-border share swap, the joint capital increase by Merchants Shekou and Qianhai Investment Controls in Qianhai FTZ Investment and the establishment of an offshore wind power joint venture by National Energy Corporation and Électricité de France.
When JunHe’s M&A office was created, it was the company’s core business area. The development of mergers and acquisitions mirrors the economic development of our country. Through the surge of foreign investment in the 1990s, the M&A investments during the period of reform and opening, and the exploration of “going global” by domestic enterprises, our lawyers are now indispensable. This year, the M&A team has been listed nine times as ‘Grade 1 Recommended’ by Asia Pacific Legal 500. They have been named ‘First Tier’ on ALB China’s M&A List ten consecutive times, and a ‘First Tier Leading Law Firm’ by Chambers Asia Pacific for eleven consecutive years. These awards affirm our on-going investment in our talented staff and our approach to innovation to always deliver results.
