Mr. Wu joined JunHe in March 2007 and is based in our Shanghai office. Previously, he worked in the Foreign Service Office of the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality. From 2000 through 2007, he practiced at the Shanghai office of King & Wood PRC Lawyers, as a partner in litigation and arbitration and dealt with numerous litigation and arbitration cases.
Since joining JunHe, Mr. Wu has provided legal services in the areas of litigation and arbitration. He has handled numerous cases regarding disputes over equity of foreign-invested enterprises, disputes over infringements upon company interests by company directors and senior managers, and disputes over the agency rights of many international high profile brands. Mr. Wu has vast experience in litigation of securities, banks, funds and investment. He assists his clients to plan and formulate litigation and arbitration strategies, and safeguards his clients' legal interests to the maximum extent. Mr. Wu also has successfully represented many retrial cases in the Supreme People's Court of the PRC.
In the area of commercial criminal practice, Mr. Wu has led the team in many felonies and administrative cases in the financial area involving insider trading, trading with unpublished information, “rat trading”, market manipulation, illegal information disclosure and insurance fraud. He has vast practical experience in criminal litigation.
In the area of regulatory compliance, Mr. Wu has participated in dozens of compliance investigation cases and commercial bribe cases. His work includes conducting investigations on executives and employees on behalf of domestic and foreign companies, providing solutions and recovering economic losses.
Mr. Wu is an instructor at the Kaiyuan Law School of Shanghai Jiaotong University. In 2013 he was named the “Outstanding Individual of the Judicial System of Xuhui District” and in 2014 was honored as one of “China’s Top 15 Litigators of Asian Legal Business”.
