JunHe has recently assisted Jebsen Beverage Co., Ltd. (“Jebsen”) in its sale of part of the equity interest in Jebsen Beverage (China) Co., Ltd. (“Jebsen China”) to Anheuser-Busch InBev Sedrin Brewery Co., Ltd. (“AB InBev”) and subsequently helped Jebsen increase its investment in Jebsen China, completing the entire transaction.
Founded in 1895, Jebsen is a group company focused on marketing, distribution and investment developments in the Greater China area, and who successfully introduced Porsche into China. In the brewing industry, Jebsen markets and distributes a range of premium beers, including Beck's, Blue Girl Beer, Budweiser, Harbin Beer and Suntory Beer. In the past century, Jebsen has introduced Blue Girl Beer into Hong Kong and established its dominant position as the best-selling beer brand in the local market.
By way of a joint venture, Jebsen and AB InBev completed their brand promotion in China, further expanding the high-end beer market in China.
In this project, JunHe acted as the domestic legal counsel of Jebsen and provided various legal services including the review of transaction documents, discussion of transaction details and preparation for the formalities of change with the Chinese domestic government authorities.
